Mood boards… Mood boards are awesome! Such a great way of bringing all your ideas together and making sure everything works nicely together. There’s nothing quite like purchasing a heap of things for your space, only to find when they all come together, it’s a bit…ummm… wrong.
I came across Style Source Book on Insta recently. It’s a product sourcing and mood board community, where you can scroll through thousands of products, drag and drop them into your mood board, and then save or download your mood board to come back to later. If you want to get all fancy, you can even add text, or your own photos (maybe inspo pics or photos of your existing space or pieces).
You can also look through existing mood boards for inspiration and find the help of some cool designers. The program is really quick and easy to use… But the best bit?… It’s Australian! So the products you are looking at are actually available to purchase from some of your favourite stores… think Hunting for George, Brosa, Zanui! Woo hoo!
My first mood board for our living room has a bit of a mid-century modern vibe going on. I’m seriously crushing on some (ok, all) of these products… That rug! That stool! The coffee table! THAT CHAIR!!!! OMG! I can see this is NOT going to be good for my bank balance!
